A few years ago I was diagnosed with Dupuytren's disease. It's not a big deal - "an inherited connective tissue disorder which involves the palmar fascia of the hand."
When I researched it I discovered that - "Tradition has it that the disease originated with the Vikings, who spread it throughout Northern Europe and beyond as they traveled and intermarried."
So, along with being Irish I guess I have a little Viking in me too. Cool.
