We have a new kitten a few weeks old. Goes from zero to 60 mph in under a second. - I got two new long necked spray bottles which I filled with distilled water (plain water will do). There’s not much she’s not allowed to do, but I SPRITZ her when she gets up on the kitchen counters or starts getting right under my feet when I’m trying to walk. (I cannot allow her to trip me up and cause me to fall and break my bones or hers if I can help it. The water doesn’t hurt her, but sure makes her skedaddle fast.) Her name is Zippy De Doo Dah, Zippy for short, Zip for even shorter. - If we can see photos, it will help with suggesting names; but really it’s actually your call on the names.

We tried that we our cat. It only taught him not to be SEEN on the counters.

We found one or two short blasts from a compressed air can used for cleaning keyboards to be even MORE effective than a spray bottle of water. It’s nice, too, because you won’t get anything wet.
