Thanks very much, Trisham! Commander O'Connor was Chief Chaplain of the 1st Marine Division when I was attached to them in Vietnam. He went on to become Chief of the Chaplains' Corps before retiring from the Navy as a Rear Admiral. Later, he went on to serve as Bishop of Scranton, PA and eventually as Archbishop of New York, being named a Cardinal in 1985.
