I am posting this so that he sees the seriousness of this website (and will see that we will NOT tarnish his family name).
I told him about the people here that respect history (like myself) and will not hold it against him, nor his family.
I honestly hope he DOES make an account here and post the pics... but, I did tell him to make digital back-ups ... and store the originals in a safe location, unknown to anyone... to make him feel safe... and also to protect the actual pictures.
I HAVE seen the picture.. and they are amazing!!! I just hope that he follows though and posts them. I was able to capture 1 of the pictures, but I will not post it because he asked me not to.
Nahi, please post them.. you will NOT be criticized here because of something that happened 70 years ago...
Please post Nahi . Heck - my father-in-law was in the Imperial Japanese Army in WW2 .
I’d love to see them.
He could have someone else post the photos for him if he wants to gauge reactions.
Alas, we still haven’t seen them.
Correct. What you have mentioned is a concept called corruption of blood, and in America we don't believe in that. The sins of a family member do not reflect negatively upon another individual in that family.
It's a very important distinction between American culture and others, some of which do perpetuate such absurdities...
I second the emotion. Please post your pictures, Nahi
ok, he is intersted.. but he doesn’t know HTML :/
My family claims roots back before the founding of this country. They were southerners and, yes, slave-owners. We have copies of the wills, passing the slaves & their progeny from one generation to the next. I don’t consider it a bad mark on myself. I never owned slaves. History is history & we should just acknowledge that which happened & hope that our generation won’t make worse mistakes.
I’d be very interested to see the pictures.
This may not be true in your friend's home country where the family name may very well be tarnished.
My instincts say let him be.
I vote no. I hate coy people.
No problem. Unless he doesn't show us the pictures.

Nahi, please post them..
I will even make it a request. Please show us, we would really enjoy seeing them.

Yeah... unless you don't show us the pictures.
Nahi, no shame at all to post the photos. Please do.
The crowd’s getting hostile Bik. I’ll see if I can entertain them while you get the pics.
This is lame.
OH... since Nahi would be what we call a NEWBIE or NOOB (I like newbie better), It is highly unlikely he is familiar with how to upload the pictures to a website (like TINYPHOTO or ICANHASCHEEZBURGER.COM, or whatever) and then how to include them in a post.
I would say you are asking an awful lot to expect him to be able to quickly do so.
Maybe it would be better if you asked him to just read this thread, and YOU ask FREEPERS how and where to put the photos and how to include them in a post (and they will be happy to tell you) and he can just read it and see if he can do it.
Is Nahi even a registered member?
We have a forum called "WORLD WAR II PLUS 70 YEARS". There are lots if history buffs here who would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to see those photos.
Please visit Homer's homepage for a run down on the topics discussed.
I had a good friend who was in the Airborne during WWII. He jumped behind the lines on D Day and into Holland. He was trucked into the Bulge. Tough fine little guy.
He went back to the town in Holland where he was pinned down by German fire and the bullet marks were still in a concrete stock watering tank he hid behind.
The entire town turned out and gave a celebration for him when they found out about his past.
Doubt the Germans would have been received well there.
Ok,, it’s been many years since I ‘registered’ ... he is trying to register an account (he is a bit tipsy atm)..
He is asking how to make an account..
and he is worried about his English..
Sorry peeps... still trying to walk hm through how to get a registerd account here..
and I have NO idea how long after that how long it will take to get his messages ‘accepted’ before they are posted :p
Not sure if any admin are awake atm
