There's one photo with him and PM Cameron, seated in matching chairs by a fireplace and it just looks "right."

I've read his remarks and that statement is not at all what the man said. I read the comments as saying he understands first hand how difficult it is to organize an Olympics and that the problems the British organizers have had, while "disconcerting", will be overcome. Compared to how the problems are being treated in the (admittedly vicious) British press and by the opposition in Parliament his comments were mild and not really critical.

Their Prime Minister went off the deep end in his reaction. That male bonding over a pair of hot dogs he had at a basketball game with Obama must have left a deep impression on his psyche. If Freud were alive he would probably see some symbolism there. It certainly makes me suspect the PM got a lot of pleasure out of his boyhood days in an all male Public School.
