Here in Virginia, during June’s GOP Senate primary, George Allen won handily, but a pathetic <10% turned out to vote. The Tea Party could’ve... BY ITSELF.. carried Jamie Radtke to victory, but mostly stayed home. Hopefully that won’t be replicated in the national election.
Here in North Texas we are in the midst if the Cruz-Dewhurst Senate runoff campaign, and I was told by a poll worker on Monday that turnout in the June primary was 12%, and they expected turnout for the runoff election would be even less that that. Apparently the great majority of Americans don’t give a crap who our leaders are.
