Who the hell would want to join their football program after this. It’s not like there is a shortage of other big name football schools they could play for.
As I understand it, if you are a member of the NCAA you must have control, as a school administration, over your sports programs otherwise the NCAA can impose punishments.
Are Spanier and his wife still employed by Penn State as teachers? If they are and if I was a student or alumni, I could not accept that.
