What's wrong with a community getting fed up with police shooting its neighbors?

Welcome to Free Republic. I hope your IQ is high enough to last more than a few weeks. Asking asinine questions may not be the best way to accomplish that.

When the neighbors are all members of the thug culture (or the majority are,) and part of the culture is never rat on your neighbor whether they are criminals or not, and the odds of getting an accurate version of the entire event are laughable, then it is extremely logical that the criminals which prompt law enforcement to shoot them is not a rocket science mystery.

The police don't randomly go into a neighborhood looking for someone to shoot. Resisting arrest is the easiest bad experience to defuse.

Just cooperate. If you have a case to prosecute abuse, there is plenty of time without opting for "suicide by cop."

I was once arrested for non payment of child support despite the fact that I don’t have kids. I explained that I didn’t have kids but didn’t resist.

I spent several hours at the police station but was well treated and even taken back to my car when it was cleared up. The cop didn’t even call a wrecker to tow my car because it was out of the way and the situation would be cleared up one way or the other.

It was a court screw up and no fault of the police or myself.

Eventually we'll find out the guy was out on probation with the stipulation he not consort with any other criminals, so the cop sees him with two buds and says 'parole violation' ~

This happens all the time.

By the time the thought gets properly manipulated in his mind the perp and his buds are running away.

A parole violation is not ordinarily a reason to shoot a guy. The cop has to have one heck of a story to get that one past a grand jury and I just don't see it happening.

This thing escalated to a first class mess-up when the cops began firing into the crowd of neighbors who came out to see what happened.

Remember, this was Saturday afternoon, great California weather, and folks had time to do that. I'm sure they'd do that here, and maybe your neighborhood as well ~ or maybe they don't care and are totally devoid of human emotions where you live ~ but I doubt that. In America most people are simply not prepared to just step over the bodies like they do in Calcutta.
