On July 4, 1946, the Philippines became independent.
Same here, eerie indeed.
Wow...... I just remembered this thread while watching the news.
Well, mainly I notice unusual things happen on the July 20 date.
Yes
I think July 20 is easily the date in which the most significant events happened when you weigh their cumulative importance. For example, Dec. 7 was very memorable but that is mainly the only thing of note that happened on that date. Same with Nov. 22 and Sept. 11. But when you add up ALL the events, and their relative importance, I think July 20 comes out way ahead.

You may be right though April 20 comes to mind as well.
The weird thing is I saw your post of this article, considered it one of your usual interesting posts on contemporary culture, and forgot about it.
Yet it came to mind the next day immediately on hearing the news.
Good points though PJ, don’t let the weird coincidence keep you from posting your thoughts in the future. I do enjoy them.
I only just now remembered the subject of your post from yesterday. Today was my birthday. I’ll never have another that I don’t recall the horror this day held for so many in Colorado.
Read the “Thin Red Line”, by James Jones, he had the best description of “Coming off the Line” that I have read.
July 20 represents a RIP in the space/time continuum. What made me post this thread when I did is one of the effects of that rip. Everything in the past will happen again and everything in the future has already happened. Time itself is an illusion. Think this is NUts? No NUttier than ALL of the stuff in the entire universe fitting into an infinitesimally small space back when time begun. That was once considered an impossible bizarre theory that even Einstein couldn’t accept but now is accepted.
wow!
