RIP Jon Lord
According to Wikipedia, his last musical goings-on was with a bunch of greatest musician for a benefit; including Tony Iommi, Ian Gillan, and Nicko McBrain.
He’s with the Lord.
RIP.
That’s certainly true. And of course, Whitesnake never sounded the same without him either (and that band had two guitarists when he was a member) . . .
I guess I was partial to Yes' Rick Wakeman.

He’s playing in that great band in the sky with Kitty Wells on vocals!
This is devastating to me. DP were my teen years and have defined my tastes in music.
Jon Lord I hope you meet my Lord on good terms today. Thank-you for all your years of great music.

Amen to that!
71 ??
Yikes, I was digging Deep Purple albums (gulp) 40 years ago.
