Prayers up to both of you. My own boyhood Sheperd went the same exact way-overcome by a fast fire. That the smoke gets to them first is actually a blessing.

That the smoke gets to them first is actually a blessing.Thankfully, the dogs were not killed by the fire itself; they were overcome by the smoke. The firefighters tried to resuscitate them to no avail.
