There is no point in paying any attention to the babblings of entertainers. They (sometimes) have the talent and the skills to amuse us. They rarely have the intelligence or wisdom to understand anything else, let alone inform the rest of us.
I'll continue to enjoy Whedon's "Serenity", the best SF movie I've seen in years. His insights on capitalism are as of much interest to me as an organ grinder's monkey's views on particle physics.

"Serenity" was on earlier today. He knows what sells. The River Tam response in the beginning "We tell them what to think, what to eat,...we're in their heads..." is describing the utopia that Whedon is apparently desiring, regardless that his "art" the cheers on the opposite.
