Yea they are pretty vile to use a FR person's name over there.

Putting it together with your off the wall comments here, especially the tactic to smear posters that don't agree with Romney's leftist agenda with the invective of “Mitt hater” etc, didn't seem much of a leap to buy into the True Blew “rogue yam”

Many seemingly good FR members have turned to the dark side in the past and it seemed unbelievable their vile and hateful rants at CP and other anti FR sites.

Reasoned debate is so much better than emotional filled rants, especially those denigrating the owner of this site. And the site it's self.

Sure, there are some here that hate Mitt.

They are a minority of those opposed to his liberal stances.

Reminds me of posting on LDS threads with facts about that belief system and being called a hater of Mormons and Mitt.

Off topic a bit, but seeing many posters castigating those that will not vote for Mitt, and that making them Obama supporters...is disruptive and counter productive.

It's the GOP-e in this cycle and in the last with McCain that has caused them to lose votes because they seem to hate conservatism.

And Romney's backstabbing with millions of bucks and his cadre of staff dispatched to destroy real conservatives (Palin for one, with McCain’ Palin hating staff members switching over to Mitt) coupled with the GOP-e ignoring their conservative base has make it impossible for me to vote for Romney.

Those that blame it on those of us that don't support Mitt are missing the point that it is the GOP that is responsible.

Keeping voting for their “next in line” candidates validates their liberal leanings and they won't stop until and unless we stop supporting them.

The blame lies wholly upon the GOP, period.

May be misspelling in this post, I don't use spell check because sucky IE9 clears my screen when I do.

Not voting for GOP liberals is not a vote for Obama, it is a vote against the GOP-e.

BTW, Jim's post to you in 535 is right on.

Yet, to quote Reagain "there you go again"

Your obsession with "mitt haters" and over analyzing is just usless spinning of your wheels.

What some call "over analyzing" others might call "analyzing more accurately".

That said, the GOP is a big, complex organization whose agenda includes conservatism as but a subsidiary component.

That is the nature of political parties. Promoting some particular ideology is only one part of their agenda, and every party contains individuals who have ideological differences.

If conservatives split off from the GOP and join an existing minor party (or form a new one), as some here on FR have advocated, then that new party will still pursue goals other than the advancement of conservatism and contain ideological disagreements within itself. That is just how politics is.

No political party will ever entirely please any one individual member, and a political party big enough to win the White House and control both houses of Congress will necessarily have won the votes of many people who disagree with one another on at least some important issues. That is just math.

The tea part movement has been the most substantive and effective grassroots political movement in America in decades, and it has raised the importance placed on conservative principles within the GOP. This is a wonderful thing.

At the same time, Romney won the nomination and the USSC crapped all over the Constitution.

So what to do? I say we continue the process of making the GOP more conservative. That is what I have been doing here on FR, and it is what I intend to continue doing.

Some people are campaigning against Romney on this site using tactics that are unreasonable and dishonest. I think this is bad for conservatism and so I object to it here.

Some people are fomenting defeatism on this site. I think this is bad for conservatism and so I object to it here.

I am not saying that my every one of my thousands of posts here has been completely beyond reproach, but in very large measure I have posted substantively, intelligently, rationally, and honestly. Anyone who impugns my moral character based on what I have posted on FR is speaking untruth.

So simple in its truth ... and so emotionally complicated for fearful people to face.
