“Theres no question about it ... Quix, while here on Free Republic, was a sincere, dedicated, Bible-believing and energetic Christian - helping and posting whenever and wherever he could.”
No there is no question about it . . . Quix while here was the kind of Christian poster who drives people away from Christ not toward Him.
That’s an excuse that no one is going to be able to use before God, if they refuse to accept the Salvation He has provided exclusively through His Son, Jesus, the Messiah of Israel.
SO ... it really doesn’t matter if someone stands up and says, “Quix drove me away!”. That’s simply not going to work. And it’s a really poor excuse anyway. Since when did whatever someone feels slighted or insulted by (from someone else towards them) - determine the “reality of life” around them.
It would be like saying to a cop ... “I ran the red light because I was mad at how I was treated by ‘so-and-so’ ... “ The cop would say, “Tell it to the Judge! Here’s your ticket!” ... LOL ...
I don't think that is a fair statement about Quix. There were MANY times that he was patient, kind hearted and tolerant - probably MOST times on the RF he was that way. There were several people who intentionally instigated and provoked the nasty tone they got back - it was NOT his initial reaction at all - but he loved the Lord Jesus and nobody can truthfully deny that. I saw Quix change over the years on the RF especially - I even got into disagreements with him over certain issues in the later days he was here. But for many years he was a strong co-advocate for the Gospel of grace and did not let the taunts and ridicule effect him. I guess everyone has their breaking point.
I think he was wrong to channel his anger into a rival site that exists to disparage Free Republic and Jim Robinson in particular. That is NOT how disputes should be handled and, in this critical election coming up, we need to band together to defeat the enemies of our great country. I'm sorry that Quix chose to go this route and I pray that he finds peace and the strength to forgive and ask forgiveness. None of us can live without it! Bitterness destroys from the inside out.
