You raised the issue of it being from human authority - so I presented a document that is adhered to by Evangelicals that show that it’s not human authority.
However, if you did want to get into that issue more ... I’m more than happy to come to a thread you post in which we do discuss the basis for a Christian’s authority (i.e., where it comes from) and the basis for recognizing it in the Holy Scriptures and not in an institution and church.
Just post something to that effect in the religion forum and we can go into it there. Call me over to it.
Leaving it up to states as to whether or not to institute Romneycare as a state program on their own is infinitely preferable to the federal mandate of ObamaCare. My state already said no, thank you, and so did many others. If Romney was running for governor and advocating a particular state-based program, I'd be a lot more concerned. But as long as he respects federalism as President, I don't care about his personal preferences.
And, FR has been invaded by Romney money funding a "mission".

That’s an ABSOLUTELY SERIOUS DOCUMENT adhered to by many dedicated and honest Christians who hold exactly to it. If you don’t recognize those names ... I’ll just let you know that they are like (so to speak) “godfathers” in the Christian Evangelical community.
This is as near to a modern-day “Church Council” that you’re ever going to see (in this day and age) - comparable to those who argued and settled the issue of (for instance) the “Diety of Christ” in the old days.

Good folks here are desperate to see the "alternative" as profound, but reading their posts it is clear that they in their hearts, they know better, but fear is making them willing to ignore the truth.
It is the biggest red flag of many that giving your consent and support to Romney -- which is ALL and ONLY what a vote for Romney would ultimately represent -- would be a big mistake guaranteed to have very bad consequences.
A Romney landslide would be every bit as disatrous as an Obama landslide. Looking at Obama's loss of support in the past year, there is virtually zero risk of the latter, and looking at the panicked hysteria on the right, there is a very high danger of the former.
Pray for a plurality. VOTE for a plurality -- vote official on-the-ballot third party at the top of the ticket.
Otherwise, you will be both risking a landslide, AND voting for Romney's progressivism to take charge of the Republican party. That is what your vote "against" Obama would be FOR.
