Great article. Very insightful.

After the initial dust storm settles and we can see clearly again, we may view this decision in an entirely different light.

It is widely thought that Roberts rewrote the law, but it seems as if he might have actually allowed the the law interpret itself. In 20 places, a tax was called a tax. In only one place, a tax was called a mandate even though it was crafted and implemented in exactly the same way as the other 20 taxes were. Don’t judges often interpret the law as to intent in making decisions?

I still wish Roberts had killed the beast once and for all, but we must not pass up the opportunity to kill it in November.

Stop perpetrating this lie and fraud on this forum. No, it wasn't and that is precisely why Obama's Government Lawyers argued that it was not a "tax" rather they were fines and penalties to be imposed and collected by the IRS.

Now if you want to argue "a tax by any other name is still a tax" that argument would have merit but the fact remains it didn't, and Roberts re-wrote the law in order to justify it as Constitutional.

That is a clear over-stepping of the USSC's Constitutional Mandate, as I outlined previously in this thread.

Stop falling for the liberal lamestream media bullshit.

Please show me in the actual bill where this is stated.
