All of which takes me back to the issue of cats. If we are going to put a penalty on lifestyle choices, then shouldn't we penalize all lifestyle choices?

I have owned cats. I do not like cats. I had cats who lived outside and had to find their own food. They were rodent control. I did provide water.

If you own and feed cats in your living space, they will eat you if you should remain immobile for some reason through a couple of their accustomed feeding times.

The title contains a serious error. No Human "owns" a cat, rather a cat may choose to live with a human. The relationship is at the discretion of the cat!
