LBJ really messed us up with all his social programs.
Despite what all the “official” liberal historians say, LBJ was the worst US President ever.
A stupid no-win war strategy and an insane launching of unsustainable social programs.
Plus—the guy was a total jerk and a crook.
I still say it was Carter who was the worst President in history. What a doofus he was. His energy policy was to put on a sweater and nobody should forget about the gas ration days....I hated that so badly and I was 8! Could you imagine how stressful it was for the adults who had to work.....HORRID MAN!!!!
The problem with Medicare is that it keeps growing.
In 1970 Medicare was 3.2% of the federal budget.
In 1990 Medicare was 7.8% of the federal budget.
In 2010 Medicare was 13.1% of the federal budget.
By 2030 Medicare will be over 25% of the federal budget.
Those figures probably wouldn’t fund most of next year’s Cabinet budgets. Expenditures for food stamps today are about half that entire 1960 fedaral budget. And the Dims say our current fiscal problems are because we are not spending enough!
No way. LBJ is 1,000,000 times as destructive as Carter.
LBJ's Great Society is the cancer that is utterly destroying our Republic.
LBJ was a very evil man with a very evil heart.
LBJ knew exactly what he would unleash with his Great Society.
I agree with you, absolutely.
Carter was basically a passive incompetent.
LBJ was a very effective implementer of liberalism.
The Great Society is a disaster.
It raised the black illegitimacy rate from 17% to 75% in less than two full generations.
