” denied parole “
YES!
What are the odds that they get squishy, though?
What do you mean by “they get squishy”? I don’t know how to answer what the odds are.
I plan to call Tuesday to find out how Lafavre voted and how many members had to vote before they got 3 “no” votes.
The odds that they may change their minds.
Awesome!
Three years before you need to do this again will be a bit of a breather.
Maybe his health will break in prison.
(((((Hugs!)))))
They can’t change their minds. It’s permanently noted in his file that this parole was denied. The next opportunity for parole is in 3 years. They could parole him then, but that will be the earliest.
They do say that information could come in that would make the next hearing sooner...but there is nothing that could come in on this case to change the schedule...they know he is guilty and sentenced correctly.
“They do say that information could come in that would make the next hearing sooner...”
???
Like what information?
Someone was mean to him with a scary handpuppet once or something?
Yeesh.
This is why our justice system is a joke, the wrong people get punished by the system, namely the victims get punished repeatedly simply for being victims.
Usually this refers to something like a man who was in prison for a crime, DNA information came in that proved it couldn’t have been him after he had served over 25 years. He was released. That won’t happen here since there is no evidence that could come in to change the circumstance of this crime. I just have to deal with a new hearing every 3 years...that’s hard enough.
I called Gov Perry and left a message asking to be contacted and giving the info on this crime and the hearings. I was asking that if the board voted to parole, he step in and stop the parole. I never heard back from him...I was so disappointed. :(
I don’t trust Governors to do anything that would make sense.
That is bothersome that you didn’t hear back from him.
But at least the creep is still behind bars.
Great news! My letter’s still on the HD, so just ping when it’s time to rewrite for another round.
Time to enjoy life again...
I am sorry to have only noticed this thread now. If it would help next time around to have a letter sent from Wisconsin, please Freepmail me then and I will send one.
I have your name saved to the ping list for this topic. I had letters from friends from all over this time. It’s good to do that because it makes the board more aware of the fact that he ran to another state to avoid prosecution. No state is safe from him. He has absconded every time he was on parole.
I appreciate your being willing to help with a letter!
Praise God for a time of peace.
I am sorry to hear what happened to you and congradulate you on being brave enough to share it with us and ask for help to keep this deranged lunatic behind bars
I hope you go to the parole hearing and tell them that you will be buying a gun and keeping it handy if they let him out
I just saw this as well. Please put me on your list, too.
I will be praying for you.
I told them already that I have a firearm and training in how to use it. That I would be prepared if he ever came after me. That I don’t want to shoot anyone, but I will if forced to defend me or my family.
I have added you. Thank you so much for the prayers!
Good news trussell, I can only imagine how relieved you are!!
Thanks for letting us know.
