My first Commander was a brushed stainless. My preference was parkerized so, I switched it out some years ago. I love the Commander. My 1911A1’s feel so neglected.
The Commander is my back up...I carry a 92f but need to replace the recoil spring. I guess after 5000 rounds and 25 years it just wore out.
A girl I know wants to replace her S&W Chiefs special with a 9mm auto. Might buy that for ankle carry.
