I tend to lose count after the first 24.
I solved that problem by putting bottle caps of consumed beverages in one corner of the counter. All confusion is eliminated unless the cats play bottle-cap hockey w/them.

And eventually, you find everything under the refrigerator. They ain't too bright, either. ;)
