Thank you, Conor! I miss Ike and Reagan so much! I was just a young girl when Eisenhower was POTUS - and I wrote him a letter - and got a reply! (Wish I knew what happened to that letter!)

The news today was not good. Every post seemed to turn my stomach. I yearn for the ‘good old days’ - when we were truly a Nation Under God - Sweet Land of Liberty!

The news is not good these days. I was very young when Eisenhower was President - not politically aware. He died just before I was deployed to Vietnam. I was in Field Med School at Camp Pendleton. Our DI, Sgt. Grau, assembled us and informed us of his passing. He spoke briefly but eloquently of Ike's contribution to the Nation. As I learned more about our history, particularly, WWII and the 50's, my regard for Ike increased greatly.

Look at the difference between men like him, who built, fought for, and bled for our Nation and the Freedoms it provides, and men like Obama, who can do nothing but pass the buck, avoid responsibility and blame Bush. He is destroying our Nation, and the media, Hollywood and academia are his partners in crime. I can't describe how revolted I am that this has come to pass.

Our military is still strong and loyal. I only hope this evil can be undone before it is too late!

Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)
