Well I kinda know how you feel because I had to give my dog fluids under her skin for a short stretch back in December 2010/January 2011. It hurt me to hurt her even though I was actually helping her. We ended up having to put her to sleep in March 2012 though. She had something going on that just kept coming back.

I can't much relate to snakes as pets, but even with a snake I wouldn't want to see one be deliberately hurt or killed for no reason. I hope your pet gets over her illness soon.

Gosh, I’m so sorry.

I didn’t expect much from pet snakes either but they sure surprised me.

They’re very affectionate and ‘bond’ to their people.

If a stranger wants to hold one of mine, they’ll wiggle and stretch until they’ve gotten themseselves back on me and then peak out from under my hair, glaring at the ‘not mom’ who simply wanted to snuggle them.

They ‘beg’ to be taken out of their homes and held.

They’re just not at all what I expected.
