Jeff says he's been a Mormon for 40 years...
...that means he was Lds around 1972-1978 -- when Lds practiced open racism by disallowing blacks to hold the priesthood...
No priesthood, no temple recommend;
no temple recommend, no temple access;
no temple access, no ability to be married in the temple for eternity -- a requirement for the highest Mormons if they want to live in the celestial kingdom;
no marriage & no celestial kingdom, then no living with Heavenly Father forever.
And...if you don't live forever with Heavenly Father, you might as well call it "damnation" -- even if Mormons don't always do. Therefore, Mormons DO essentially "damn" America to a life minus living with Heavenly Father forever...(Even non-temple Mormons are so "damned")
So tell me again why Jeff - no matter what his religion (and a religion I do not share with him, nor do I care a whit for Mitt) - does not have the moral standing as a patriotic American to condemn Reverend Wright without any caveat to his personal religious beliefs.
It's not Jeff's religion that "disqualifies" him from such commentary...It's this comment he was making to NoRedTape -- indicating that commenting on the religious ties/beliefs/convictions/worldviews of a POTUS candidate is somehow supposedly out of bounds:
May 8, 2012, to NoRedTape: Do you really have to make this thread an anti-LDS thing? ...As to religion, if you must make it about that... Source: Santorum endorses one-time rival Romney
No religious hypocrisy being practiced here, eh?
Tis OK to make threads an anti-Islamic "thing" as long as it pertains to Obama, eh? But Mormonism -- per some Mormon FREEPERs -- is somehow "sacrosanct" from similar dissection?
Well, perhaps you can point me to the 9/11 hijackers who were Mormons, nutbar.
Don’t get me wrong....I surely hope Obama doesn’t even come CLOSE to winning a second term. The problem will be when religion does surface. Romney will be hounded by the phony swiss cheese mormon fluff and Obama will come out of the fray as the only Christian in the Race.
