That's unfortunate. If you were in a state that at least allowed open carry I was going to suggest a Buff.

VA IS an Open Carry state.

I guess they figured if you could afford rifles with magazines +20 rounds, and nunchukas, you could afford the $50 to get the CCW permit [not that I agree with it] and carry pretty much whatever in the hell you want.

VA gun laws are one of the things I LOVE about VA....you can carry open/concealed [with permit] into bars, banks etc(unless otherwise posted by the OWNER; not some manager etc the OWNER). You just can't carry into municipal buildings. You can even carry onto school property so long as you don't get out of the car with the gun.

(so you don't have to worry about going to jail for years on end because you were carrying and stopped to pick your kids up at school)

I misunderstood you. In CO open carry is legal (except in a few select localities) without any permit. I didn't connect the end of your sentence indicating a permit allows it all. I thought VA was a pretty good 2nd Amend. state. Glad it is.

Isn't the Gun Free Zone for schools a FedMob thing? I assume I break that every time I drive past the school going to town and back but I'm not going to take a long detour around it to do common errands in my own town.
