According to Real Clear Politics, President Obama has 243 electoral votes wrapped up already. Right now, if he captures New Hampshire, Wisconsin and Virginia, those will be the 27 votes he'll need to get to the magical number 270 and another 4 years in the White House!

Gee, if he wins the swing states, he wins the elections? Thanks for that cogent electoral analysis without which we might never know why we should all just give up and shove our heads in the sand.
There were 5 candidates ~ and Fimian had LOST in 2008 against "The Cannoli"
New blood was needed ~ but Herrity lost to Fimian in a primary.
The near final count had the candidates as follows:
Gerry Connolly Dem 49.3%
Keith Fimian GOP 48.9%
Christopher DeCarlo Ind 0.8%
David Dotson Libertarian 0.6%
David Gillis Independent Green 0.4%
When the final tally was recounted some time later Connolly won more votes than Fimian.
We could have had a Representative who was a member of the Ruling Party in the House, but NOOOOOO ~ Fimian thought he deserved another shot.
He didn't get it.
I think we only have two Republicans running for the 11th District slot this time ~ one of them sounds OK except he believes he can win an election in a district with 180,000 government lawyers by noting people need guns to protect themselves from "the government'. Frankly, I don't think he has a chance ~ 'cause word does get out eh ~ but there you have it.
The retired colonel will probably win it, then Connolly will lie again and tell us he's reformed and won't be bad anymore ~ and he'll probably beat the colonel like a wet rug.
He really doesn't care that we had an historic low turnout for a primary ~ he's perfectly happy winning it on a technicality.
Odds are good that Romney won't get enough votes to win in Virginia but there will be a record turnout to put all the other Republicans into office.
Somebody ought to canvas the stake presidents to see if conversions are UP or DOWN ~ I just bet they're way down.
“And they include AZ, NC, Indiana, and Missouri as toss up states.”
Real Clear Politics is lib central. The polls are informative but pay no attention to their analysis.
There are too many swing states for battle, while Romney shouuld win the most elections so Obama only needs 3 swing st
ates where his lead is pretty significant at the moment.
Hoekstra is running a dreadful Senate campaign in Michigan. First the bizarre Super Bowl ad and now he’s advocating for oil drilling under the Great Lakes - even though it’s prohibited by Michigan state law.
He’s coming across as an out-of-touch DC insider. I think Michigan voters are going to punish him and the Republicans over it.
