Do they still make bleedin’ Watney’s Red Barrel?
After a couple of years arguing with the Powers-That-Were at our mess in England, they finally installed Watney’s Red Barrel. Not bad, but considering the majority of the membership wanted Wm. Younger’s Tartan Bitter, it was a loss. The manager of the mess, a retired NCO, had in-laws that worked with Webster’s Penine Bitters, so that’s what we were stuck with.
