So let’s say it is $184 million. What does that come out to, about $2 for every taxpayer? Plus the cost of the storage space, the people it took to order, then store the stuff? Now up to $3 for every taxpayer. Gets to be $10 per household, a million dollars for a community of 300,000 people. Now we are talking about money that could be used for something of value... Why don’t those in government think this way?

Easy. Government SPENDS money, they don't MAKE money. Their whole purpose in life is to make sure their budget gets spent or they won't get a bigger budget next year. I have first hand experience with this, since the company I work for contracts with the local government. Scary stuff.

Here’s my favorite part.

“TSA willfully delayed Congressional oversight of the agency’s Transportation Logistics Center twice”

http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/1505

says,

“Whoever corruptly, or by threats or force, or by any threatening letter or communication influences, obstructs, or impedes or endeavors to influence, obstruct, or impede the due and proper administration of the law under which any pending proceeding is being had before any department or agency of the United States, or the due and proper exercise of the power of inquiry under which any inquiry or investigation is being had by either House, or any committee of either House or any joint committee of the Congress—
Shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years or, if the offense involves international or domestic terrorism (as defined in section 2331), imprisoned not more than 8 years, or both.”

So Lying to, and Obstructing Congressional Investigators is worth 5 years.

It’s little things like that, that matter if we want it cleaned up.

5 years.
