Amen. This reminds me why I usually stay off the NASCAR threads. I really don’t understand why Danica is being held to a different standard than the rest of the field. I can only assume she is supposed to be home cooking supper.

You’re a flipping idiot if that’s why you think many of us don’t approve of Danica Patrick. The reason I don’t like her is because she IS A CRAPPY DRIVER who is taking a spot away from another more deserving driver. It’s essentially Affirmative Action for NASCAR and it makes me mad as hell.

Until she proves that she can run with the big boys (which she never has) then she needs to stay out of the Sprint Cup until she proves she can.

It’s blatantly obvious the only reason she’s in the Sprint Cup is because she’s a woman. If she was a man she wouldn’t even be in nationwide.

She needs to prove she can race at the top before she is placed in the top.

Ridiculous.

Danica is disliked in the racing world--was loudly booed at Indy last year--because she is an affirmative action hire. Popular with sponsors because she is considered, by some, to be attractive, even though she is less skilled as a driver than her far less well-known male competitors.

Sports is supposedly one of the few places where one's skill is all that matters. She gets a ride because of her gender, not because she is a great driver. She is a novelty act, and nothing more.
