Danica Patrick wasn't pleased with Sam Hornish Jr. in Saturday's Nationwide Series race at Talladega and made it known by wrecking him after the checkered flag.
In light of what had just happened moments earlier with Eric McClure having to be airlifted to the hospital after a multi-car wreck, her behavior is all the more astonishing. However, neither driver was called to the NASCAR hauler after the incident.
Hornish finished 12th and Patrick 13th in a race won by Joey Logano.
Sam Hornish Jr.:
"... After the race was over, we got right-reared by the 7 car (Danica Patrick). I don't know what she had in her head, but she decided to right-rear us, wreck the car after the race was over. That's really frustrating. It's not the worst day ever, but not what we wanted. I feel like we may have gone a little too early. We got separated and then Brad got wrecked.
Danica Patrick:
"I don't know what happened. Sam came up to me after the race and apologized, so I'm not sure what was wrong with his car, but he came across the track at the front of the start/finish line."

For someone that doesn’t like being called names, you sure like to do it. So the gloves are off now. You are a 24 year old snot nosed punk that know nothing about NASCAR or LIFE. Are you still living in Mommy’s basement?
So in your mind it’s EEOC by NASCAR?
Oh I forgot to ask, Does E Jr have a ride because E was good at wrecking anyone in front of him to advance a position?
Sure looked like a little payback to me.
My point is that she is taking a place that a more skilled driver deserves. Kind of like the current occupant of the White House.
Junior gets a ride because he is a skilled driver. He has won races in his career, and is way up in the points standings this year. Yes, he gets more attention than other drivers who have not won in four years, but he certainly deserves a ride.
Personally, I resent all forms of "affirmative action," as should any conservative. Do you?
Tell Helton you want his job. Get over it. She is not a great driver but drop the EEOC crap.
---------------------------------------------------
Nope. She is a professional driver because of her gender. By definition, an affirmative action hire.
Apparently you think that more qualified individuals should not get a job because they are of a more "advantaged" race or gender. We'll have to just agree to disagree on this one.
2 things. 1) I’m a 22-year old fresh out of college. Get it right. 2) You still haven’t addressed my point about Danica being in NASCAR thanks to, essentially, AA.
Please address my point rather than speculating on my current living conditions although I don;t expect much of an argument based on my inference about your IQ from this thread.
P.S.: U mad bro?
no. the field is full of drivers who don’t win, but Danica is keeping another out. but in your world the boys get a pass. go get some sponsors and take the car away from her. it’s about money dude. free enterprise. NASCAR is a non-government oganization. i have nothing else to say to you since you can’t frame an argument, you’re dragging me down.
you haven’t made a point to address. go wipe your nose.
Who can’t frame an argument? Your entire argument is “MEN ARE BAD, WOMEN ARE GOOD! ALL OF YOU ARE SEXIST!!!! MEHHHH :p”
Seriously. Give us a reason why Danica belongs in NASCAR. One simple reason.
Reading comprehension is hard. I get it. So hear is my point in simple terms: DANICA IS IN NASCAR BECAUSE OF AFFIRMATIVE ACTION.
Please address this. Thank you.
I also submit to the FR Grammar Police. My posts plain stink grammar-wise.
i will not argue with an idiot. you’ll beat me with experience. did I say men are bad? no. it is your immaturity that projects what you wish I said. i take it back, you are not an idiot, you’re a moron. i would give you a profile on yourself, but you would only get madder because i know who you are and what you are. I said none of this MEN ARE BAD, WOMEN ARE GOOD! ALL OF YOU ARE SEXIST!!!! you did, and you might be right for the first time. go take a nap.
Hornish came up the track and squeezed her to the wall.
Danica got hot and showed him how it's done correctly.
Although this was overkill on Danica's part, punching him out after the race probably wasn't an option either.
Even in high profile fields like athletics (coaches), show business, and TV news, employers are pressured to hire based on skin tone or gender, because they are afraid of being accused of racism or sexism.
It is unfortunate that you fail to understand this. Good day.
As espoused by a true professional. Got it.
I am very aware. I don’t let it bother me. But apparently the man has kept you down. Join the Occupy Movement since you seem to wish to blame others for you shortcomings, I can’t help anyone with the lack of confidence and self-empowerment that you have. But I do pray for those like yourself.
You and black shark bore me, so I’m out of here until the IQ goes up. Danica is keeping you you both down
Wrong, he didn't drive her anywhere, he wasn't behind her wheel.
Her lack of skill put her where she was, and after the race retaliated like a scorned girl on prom night.
As espoused by a true professional. Got it.
No you don't get it. In my other life, I was trained in evasive maneuver techniques etc, in modified vehicles and operated in 7 different countries for various high profile clients/individuals.
How about you Mr. mazda?
“DANICA IS IN NASCAR BECAUSE OF AFFIRMATIVE ACTION.”
Oh bullsh*t...
Patrick is in Nascar because she took up racing in Go-Carts at age 10, and at age 16, her parents took a huge chance and moved to England so she could race in British NAtional Series events.
She has come up the same way as any other driver in the system, without a money-bags racing name for a father.
