MEMORIAL DAY 2012

/>IN FLANDERS FIELDS

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Lt. Col. John McCrea, Canadian Expeditionary Force, 3May1915

KEEP FAITH WITH OUR FALLEN!
BY VIRTUE OF THEIR SACRIFICE WE LIVE IN FREEDOM!!

Nos genuflectitur ad non princeps sed Princeps Pacem!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Beautiful graphic, Conor. I love the poem every Memorial Day.
God bless our Veterans and God bless our troops who are still
fighting for our Freedom today!
