I hate when that happens.

That is just terrible, Amy. Seems that innocent people
have to suffer because of the bad people. I sure hope
they get to the bottom of this quickly. Something like
that would tear me all to pieces. Remember “Mama said,
there would be days like this.”

Do you think someone stole the plates with your truck parked
at your home? What hoodlums we have in this world!! Makes
your blood boil, doesn’t it?

Over Easter, we were out of town for 4 days. The pickup was locked but was parked in the driveway.

There was nothing out of the ordinary to call our attention to the license plate switch. Just hubby complaining because someone stole his 5 gallon can of gas.

The Wright Stuff

On September 29, 1909, a young man took flight in a strange contraption that resembled a huge box kite. As he gained altitude, the pilot manipulated the levers so he could fly over New York Harbor. People looked up in amazement. In the harbor, boats celebrated by sounding their steam whistles. Crowds near the Statue of Liberty exploded with cheers at the sight of Wilbur Wright taking a flight into the heavens.

Wilbur’s brother Orville, who had piloted the first airplane flight 6 years earlier, reflected on their inspiration to fly: “The desire to fly is an idea handed down to us by our ancestors who . . . looked enviously on the birds soaring freely through space, at full speed, above all obstacles, on the infinite highway of the air.” The Wright brothers spent a great deal of time studying birds in flight before designing their planes.

In Genesis we read that “in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (1:1), and He said, “Let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens” (v.20). We applaud the inventiveness of the Wright brothers. Yet, the Creator, who made creatures capable of flight in the first place, deserves the ultimate glory—for the birds and for every other creation He has made!

"Wear Red" Friday

You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Do we ever consider the millions of birds in the world ? God feeds them everyday. Consider how much feed it takes to feed all the birds for one day. The earth is set up to feed all peoples. It is man that pushes, pulls, steals, fights, steals again, and squanders thoughtlessly, the wonders of this world in careless ways. How is it we are not respectful, mindfull of the wonders we are surrounded with all the time. Gravity! We take it for granted. It keeps the world from flying apart and everything on it being cast to the winds. How is it there are men that deny God? There is a Satan and his power is at work on earth. Which part are we supporting today?

God forgive us, and help us live pleasing to thee, in Jesus name, amen.

If I don't hear from the CHP soon, I will call to get status. We need to be able to drive the pickup. Neither of us enjoy being 15 miles from Fresno with no means of transportation. I think the one car will get us thru the weekend.

This is a big nuisance.

I’m just happy hubby didn’t get stopped for driving a stolen vehicle. He probably would have had a heart attack.
