The way I see it.
Romney will be the nominee and will lose but enough 3rd party and write in voters can save the down ticket races.
I just don’t think the GOP has the courage to win the white house and face the wrath of liberals.
And can we even agree about who that third party would be?
If Obama wins the Presidency, the Dems will probably win the House and hold the Senate. How many people go to a presidential vote just to vote down ticket? Not enough to change an election.
“Romney will be the nominee and will lose”
I think he’s going to win, CC—if he isn’t caught in bed with a live boy or dead girl, but it’s going to be very close.
Obama has screwed the pooch so badly I believe any GOP candidate with a pulse should beat him. And unless Mitt is, (as rumored) one of the Undead, he qualifies. Unfortunately Mittens is not really a choice but an echo of the current occupant. So whatever happens, I’ll be limiting my involvement to supporting conservatives.
Any of you still picking glass out of your hands and knees four years later, and thinking, “Damn td, you and those who think like you might make the difference!”
I/we don’t care. Repeat: I don’t care. Romney/Obama: six of one, a half-dozen of another.
GOP: Good luck with electing your gun-grabbing, abortionist, big government statist—whoever he is. Whatever situational ethics/realpolitik/`Can you feel me?’ BS that you’re comfortable with, whomever you’re comfortable climbing in bed with, well ...
But don’t try to tell me that my position is wrong, because anyone supporting Romney and calling him/herself a conservative is a liar, a fool or both. So there it is.
I agree with your assessment, CC.
