Yes, I think whites who live in large cities are in danger from this type of action, but the blacks who live there are also in danger, of coourse.
As regards your question, it is well worth debating. I suspect that buckshot is better for home defense because of the danger of slugs passing through walls and causing friendly-fire problems.

00 buckshot will usually penetrate modern wood product building materials. It is a .36 caliber ball.

Indoors I would not use anything larger than #1 Buckshot (.30 caliber pellets). Those usally won’t penetrate sheetrock or OSB siding.

Outdoors, use 00,000, or Centurion Multi-defense buck’n’ball like another poster suggested. This 12ga. 2 3/4” round consists of 6 #1 buckshot and a .650 caliber ball at 1300fps. If that don’t kill it, nothing will.
