Actually, Murphy J. “Mike” Foster, Jr. was from Franklin, LA, south and east of Morgan City.

Ah! I remember that now. I had double checked this site to make sure he is still alive (I hope he is still enjoying a sportsman’s life) and they attributed Shreveport as his birthplace.

Franklin is North and West of Morgan City.
