That movie singlehandedly killed off the ridiculous Superfly retro kitsch that was so popular at the time. I wonder what sort of vehicle.was the basis for that dreadnought Monte Carlo? There’s a hint of late sixties Lincoln in the wheelbase and lower body, but that can’t be it, the unibody on those was notoriously flexible, to the point that doors would jam if you had to jack it up yourself to change a flat.
