What do you think about Orrin Hatch’s primary with Dan Liljenquist?

Woo hoo. It is time for Hatch to step down. I like Dan Liljenquist. He has a business background with a lot of experience on pension reform. He is also 38 years old, he was 2 years old when Hatch won his first election in 1976.

Hatch blew it when he said that we all should vote for him because he was next in line for the head of the Senate Financial Committee. Well, Mike Crapo, senator from Idaho is next in line if Hatch loses. Crapo is very conservative and would be a great leader of the finance committee.

I think Hatch has been a great mover of getting judges in, but I think on many issues, he has reached across the aisle too many times. It is time for him to retire and/or get voted out in the primary. That said, I will vote for Hatch in the general election if he survives the primary. I am working and voting for Liljenquist.
