Sea Ice extent still greater than average (third consecutive week)

Greater or lesser sea ice is just a mother nature thing. Nothing any human or group of humans can do about it.
1) The data is only from the satellite era, 1979 - present. That is a very short time, geologically speaking.
2) Who arbitrarily decided what "0" was? Who decided was was "normal" and why? Who's to say what we have now isn't 2 standard deviations over the 2K year average?
No one...that's who. And there in lies the problem.
This story will get below average coverage in the media.
