The “Black leaders and groups” want him to be “white”. Judging from their silence, it appears that the “Hispanics” also want him to be “white”. The commie lib toadies in the state run MSM want him to be “white”. I guess he’s stuck with being “white”.
If his name had been Carpintero (Spanish for Zimmermann), this case would likely be getting no publicity outside of Florida.
It’s a huge political blunder for the left to push the envelope on this issue.
George Zimmerman’s mother is Hispanic. George looks as Mexican as Pancho Villa. Hispanics will identify with him, they will empathize with him. Latinos vote.
By fanning the flames in order to gain favor with blacks, an already wholely-owned voting bloc for Obama, they run the risk of alienating Latinos in a big way. There is zero gain for sure, and the possibility of a huge backfire.
Blacks and latinos have never had a natural affinity for each other, they have been actually quite resistant to any kind of unity.
As more and more photos of George Zimmerman surface, latinos will begin to think of him as one of their own, and they will take offense at what is happening to him.
If this poor shlub is found guilty, the street celebrations will be murderous because they know that no one will stop them nor prosecute them . . . remember, like Holder said, "It's payback to Whitey-time."
And, on the other hand, if he's found innocent, that'll be all the more reason to tear down and set fire to cities. And, again, no one will stop them nor prosecute them.
Bottom line is, this poor Zimmerman guy is probably a dead man if he goes to prison or he'll be murdered if he goes free.
And the Sharpton/Obummer/Holder/Jackson sons of bitches will laugh like hell. We've come a long way, haven't we?

Hispanic is not a race. People with Spanish surnames often appear quite caucasian. However, Peruvians tend to be of the skin color of other South and Central American Indians, and Zimmerman’s skin color reflects that side of his heritage.
Zimmerman’s ethnic background clearly presents a problem for Democrats. They don’t want to call him Hispanic, because the desperately want Hispanic votes as much as they want black votes. They don’t want this to be blacks accusing an Hispanic.
But if they call him “white”, then it’s okay, because we all know whites are racist, each and every one, and the Democrats don’t need white votes, or aren’t expecting many. So the New York Times calls Zimmerman a “white” Hispanic, because they sure wouldn’t want him to be an Hispanic.
Obama is 50% white ethnicity, 50% black African ethnicity.
Zimmerman is 0% white. He is 50% ethnic Jew and 50% ethnic Hispanic.
Ethnicity and color have nothing to do with each other.
Racists see Obama as black and Zimmerman as white.
