There's this CREEPY movie that I've been trying to know the name of for many years. I remember watching it when I was a kid. Here's what I remember:
There's some divers underwater, looking for a treasure or something. A bunch of rocks falls on them because there was a curse on the treasure or something?
They bring up some kind of King Tut sarcophagus onto their boat, and someone warns them that it is son of Satan.
(here's the creepy part) Then the sarcophagus starts breathing and you can see it's gold chest go in and out as it makes scary breathing sounds.
Then my babysitter sent me to bed, so I never got to find out what happened or even what movie that was. Does anyone here know?
**There were a lot of made-for-TV horror flicks produced in the 70’s and 80’s. Wish they’d get around to releasing them on DVD sometime before I die. ***
They probably have been released as there are “horror movies” collections in the cheapo bin at Walmart.
They are old prints in bad shape with the color so faded some look like poor B&W films. Check...
They release lots of DVDs of these old tired prints.
I know what you mean... Movies that I saw that when I was little that scared the willies out of me, though I haven't seen them since... I am fairly certain that I would find them cheesy and not very scary, which is why I don't want to see them today...
"Valley of Gawangi," about some cowboys who venture into a lost valley to bring dinosaurs back for a circus or something, "Day of the Triffids" which scared the willies out of me, and made me want to live in a submarine are just two that come to mind off-hand.

Short Walk to Daylight.
"It takes all types of critters, to make Farmer Vincent's fritters".

Why can’t you ask your old babysitter?
"And a balloon? Ive got red and green and yellow and blue...'
Lol, if I saw that as a kid I think I’d pee my pants!
It could be one of the Hellraiser movies, but I think the movie he's talking about is Quarantine. It was released just a few years ago and takes place in an apartment building.
“Hellraiser” is about a kid that wins a ticket to take a tour through a chocolate factory. It was made in 1932 and starred Tom Selleck.
If Selleck played the kid, this would make him somewhere between 85 and 90 years old now.
"The Valley of Gwangi" starring James Franciscus. Great movie, actually. A personal favorite.
Saw the previews for that one in a theater as a little kid and it completely freaked me out. There was just......something about skulls.......scary as hell.
Of course, saw this stinker years later on TV and it was pathetically bad. Laughs, groans aplenty.
But then back in the 50s, Kookla Fran and Ollie made me hide behing the TV set too. Those puppets were eeeevil!
Wow, a purple dinosaur! The cowboy’s got Barney!
