Man, how non-PC can you get Augusta?

First, you won’t allow women members. Then you go and let some guy named “Bubba” win the Masters!

I’m happy Bubba won (how can you not love a Master’s champion named Bubba?) but was rooting for Phil. Two triples in the tournament and he still finished only two shots back. He should have won going away and this could have been his last opportunity for another Master’s - the young guns are rising and he’s not getting any younger.

Good to see Freddie in the minus column. Had to laugh about comments about how well he played considering his “advanced age”. Guess 52 is old in golf years!

Freddie always seems to raise his game for The Master's - I think he has only missed the cut once in the last twenty-five years. But yes, 52 is old to be playing stroke-play championship level golf on a course as demanding as Augusta National, against a bunch of twenty-and-thirty somethings. Jack Nicklaus won his last major (the 1986 Master's) at 46, and that stands as the oldest player to win a major.

I slightly remember something maybe earlier that a commentator said about his swing style and how it would physically take a toll on him. Something about his knees being unable to stay in tact, or shoulders and elbows becoming a problem. Years back about his swing being too much or something. I remember the discussion about him having to change his style of hitting. so long ago, I can’t really recall.

I just don’t get why Phil didn’t re-Tee-Off with his unplayable lie. Biggest brain fart I’ve ever seen from such a seasoned pro.

We were pulling for Phil big time. Even after he hacked it out he put it in the bunker remember, it was like a nightmare.

Of course the lib media like Jim nance hate him and that’s why we love him.

(a) Jim Nantz broadcasts golf and basketball. Where do you get that he's a liberal?

(b) The guy vacations with the Bushes. Not exactly flaming lib stuff.

Nantz is a lib deep down...he says what he needs to to get along and “be included”

Sorry I'm late to the thread. Actually playing yesterday in very windy conditions. Nice iron play so that means it's going to be a good year. Let me ping the rest of the list and wish Bubba congratulations!

Yep and a pink neon driver. I seriously did not think he had a chance until the last nine. He is a really long driver; but I thought his short game was weak until the last nine. He deserved to win because he played a good game. I was rooting for Michelson but the triple bogie got him. Then I was rooting for Louis, the South African. Imagine a double eagle. The last one being 1994. He is a good player. I think he choked or got nervous those last two holes. Anyway, Bubba deserved to win because of the last nine. He started to get on fire.
