It's a bit different from the one featured in Stanley Kubrick's film 2001 A Space Odyssey ... but it is quite interesting nonetheless

The 2.2 meter high monolith, located in the Peak District National Park near Manchester, UK, has a striking, right-angled triangular shape that slants up towards geographic south. The orientation and inclination of the slope is aligned to the altitude of the Sun at mid-summer. Would that be pointing South + or - how many degrees?
Would that be in 2000 BC or 2012?

With all of the technology available today why were they unable to find the chamber where Jim Kirk awoke and groggily made his way to the surface. Loved that Indian chick.

It looks more interesting than Kubrick’s monolith.
