Howdy, nice quiet week UNTIL my dog yesterday took a deer hide out of my next door neighbors shed!!!!
My neighbor was real nice about it and he likes Fredd. When I got Fredd a year ago this coming week he took the seat covers (which were hide) off of his front porch and drug them over here. He had also taken a Moose paddle and 2 sets of deer antlers from neighbors.
The Moose paddle I still have and haven’t been able to return to owner (they don’t come in much) The deer antlers belonged to my next door neighbor and he was nice about that as well.
Yesterday I walked outside to check up on things and saw a drag mark in the snow, went to check it out and Fredd had the hide in his mouth. Well I gave him “what fer” and confronted my neighbor.
Now that I have had a night to sleep on it I went over again to neighbor and talked. He said he enjoyed Fredd and not to worry about it. He did tell me yesterday to throw away the hide. It was a nice deer hide he shot this last season and was going to fix for a mount.
that hide was huge and wonder if Fredd was going to try to eat it all up at one sitting?!!!
The temps tomorrow are supposed to get to 68! we still have 4ft of snow and will until May or June. A neighbor said they saw Robins in town, I know they are in at the lower elevations here a bit to soon I think. Yet when they show up it is a sign spring is here officially.
Haven’t been reading much lately Face. Other than that MLB is here.....Yeah!
Ya’all have a nice safe day and Easter!
Wow. That's practically Greenlandish!
Ash doesn't bring home pieces of other people's dead stuff, fortunately.
From the sounds of it, Fredd has kept you a little too busy to read! LOL!
We’re supposed to have 83 for tomorrow, but it was 39 when I got up this morning. At least it is clear and there is no wind!
I had almost forgotten what it was like to see deer prints in the garden and deer bones and/or hides on the lawn. Thanks for the reminder!
I hope you’re feeling ok. My prayers are with you!
Thanks for the Fredd update, CO! Grandson #1 is asking about Crowbar pix, so I’m going to put batteries in the camera and see what happens.
A happy and safe Easter to you and yours, and to all the UTers!
