I just got back from running a few errands with busdaddy. He had to stop by the cricket store and I went in with him, hoping they could do something about my phone. They suggested buying a new one! LOL!
(One calamity at a time, please.)
We DID make one stop for me...so I could get some blue ribbon! (Baby blue, of course!) I had to go to JoAnn for it, and oh, how I hated to bypass the goodies!!!
Mmaybe she will be interested after a year or so of Venturing.
I am on the beeber. Typsing is a bit weird.
Oh, that kind of cricket! We went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and got, among other things, a lawn flamingo. It has a chalkboard part to leave rude notes to the HOA!
It’s not like real boot camp. They do the obstacle course and firefighting and go to the range. Also she would have one of my company commanders.
Maybe next year.
"Dont I have a perfectly good pair, only 20 years old?"
I have a couple of pair that are translucent in places. As long as they're not worn through in enough of the *ahem* "interesting" places, I'll continue to wear them for certain functions. Like the dinner party I attended at an O-6's house a week back.
;o)
The gun store?
I thought about that, and power tool shop also, but I can't recall ever having seen those kinds of establishments at a mall. Men's Wearhouse, perhaps? Big and Tall?
Perhaps an empty storefront? A current map would have a half dozen or so vacancies...
Solar panels.
I don’t use my jeans very often. Usually I wear a dress.
For those who are not qwerty.
That should have been The Cricket Phone Store! LOL!
I’ve decided, come what may, that I WILL get a new phone on payday. It’s only three weeks away, so I’m hoping this one will last that long. I’m also hoping they can transfer all the data, including photos.
It is cold (42) with rain on the way, and snow is expected as low as 4000’, with as much as 12” on Mt. Charleston. And (get this) next week, we will be in the high 80’s!
The Stig is a little fluffed, but he is singing, so he’s good. Me? Layers of warmth.
Let’s hope no one borrows your lawn flamingo on the No-Return Plan. It sounds like a fun thing to have! I have no lawn.
It’s hanging from a garden hook which may get a hanging plant eventually. I got some pink and green flamingo garland, too - like Christmas tree tinsel - but I haven’t put it up yet. 40% off spring doo-dads!
And now, I must write some bills. We’re going to the park of Tom’s Eagle project, after Ash returns from her walk.
Ohwow! That sounds fun! A garlanded lawn flamingo! A Garlago? A Lanlaflam? A Flamgarlaw?
It’s raining, but The Stig is helping to ease the drearies.
I called my grandson (forgotenknight) for his 25th birthday, yesterday, but was only able to leave a message. He called back last evening, and we had a nice talk. He is going to ITT Tech on the GI Bill, and is applying for disability for his back.
It seems his stint in Afghanistan didn’t leave him with PSD, which I’m grateful for. His wife is also going to start at ITT Tech on a nursing course, and has already gotten her BA in psychology.
I was VERY pleased that they are doing so well!
He sent me a spec that he had to make for his drafting class, and I was impressed. He said it was the first time he ever tried to draw anything. W00t!
Don’t get wet at the park!
I took a community college course designed to prep candidates for the ACE (American College of Exercise or something) certification exam. There were three components—separate courses—and one of them was lifting weights safely. I was a progressive resistance lifter from age 37 onward. It was insurance because my job required heavy lifting and body english (I weighed 101#. My best decline press was 135#. My best leg press was 500#. My routine calf press was 240#. Best flat bench 115#.) Part of it may be genetic, but I survived w/o vocational or recreational disability (other than assaults, that is.) I don’t know if you’ve already rearranged your anatomy unfavorably, but you might give it a shot.
I also studied kung fu and chi kung w/a Chinese grandmaster for seven years. Chi kung (qi gong) is a system of health-maintenance exercises which *really* kept me comfortable (totally eliminated stress-related neck muscle aches.) It also increases flexibility and strength.
“stop by the cricket store”
At first glance, I thought you got a baby dragon. Gotta get a grip.
