I hung out with him in the kitchen at a concert, where I was bouncing whichever baby it was at the time, and he was helping everyone to the host’s wine. Such a nice man! Later he played a set with the musicians who had come from Ireland.
We have wonderful performers in the local Folk Society. We’ve been too busy recently to make it to any events. Maybe later in the summer ...

I’m going to take The Stig outside in a bit. He is happily singing his little morning greeting song. It’s cool enough out that he won’t get too hot, and I need to get him used to being handled.

I hope The Stig enjoyed his trip out. We’ll have to water the gardens tomorrow, if it doesn’t rain tonight.
I’m off to the Food Lion and then to get James and Vlad from their last day of Cub Scout day camp. Friday is when the fire truck comes and sprays them. I’m sure they’ll be far beyond horrendously filthy, into stratospheric dirtiness that only a poet can describe.
The Stig did NOT like being handled, and was a little resistent to the cage, but I knew he would be that way on the first outing.
Once he got outside and heard his cousins talking among themselves, he put in his two cents worth. I had him out about 10 minutes, but I will take him out again tomorrow or Sunday.
I was clever enough to wear a garden glove, so his bites were toothless, as it were!
For $13, the cage is roomy and well built! Bigger than I expected, too.
I’m going to go lie down. I’ve spent the better part of this last week with on-and-off angina, and it is wearing me down.
My plans for this week were to try and wash a load or two every day, but I’ve been trying to keep a lid on the activities.
