This is the outcome of today’s SAT sample question. I’m one of the 34%. Bill didn’t report whether he got it right, but his hair is perfect! (Well, it’s not, actually, and Jamie-our-hairdresser will be working at Cub Scout Day Camp all week and can’t trim him up. I know it will gnaw like a fox at his vitals ...)

I can’t help thinking that Joseph Smith’s or Brigham Young’s wives might have been just as happy that he had other options. Being married to one of those guys might just have meant a meal ticket and a room.

As the mother of two formerly teenage children. I can say, without a doubt, that NO barber/haircutter/salon worker can ever make a guy as handsome, sexy, appealing, or intoxicating as the guy thinks he is. Hairdresseers need to give up on that...it aint gonna happen! LOL!
I wouldn't know anything about women having to share their male companionship. I'd probably have to make something up.
Lots of women were left widows on the trek West, and in order to give them “respectibility” many LDS men married them in order to take care of them, and not allow the women to suffer from being a “widow” and being “available.” It was not done in a “boastful manner.” It was done to help the widows and children survive for the next generation.

I have a query that normally I would not place on open forum, but I need as much input as I can get from as many sources as possible. ANY input is welcomed!
Recently, my DIL told me she and my son wanted my info for “insurance purposes.” She seems to be worried about who will pay the bill in my demise. Until my son married her, there was never a question about my death/burial, etc.
I am unsettled about this because it is the first time I have been “put on the spot” about my longievity.
My question at this time is this: Do I allow this “newcomer” (she’s REALLY smart, Ma) to upset my future, or do I tell her and my son to worry about themselves?
In the last 30 years, this has never been a subject betwween my son and I so I am curious as to whether I should allow her to dictate MY future.
FYI: when I was 23, I had the feeling I was going to die, and took out a policy on my life for my son, who was two at the time. Within two months, I was in a car accident that nearly took my life, and if my son had been with me that day, he would have died.
Needless to say, there is “bad mojo” on me being insured.
Anyone have any ideas?
