Present company excluded, of course. ;-)
You know what I mean. People that throw around terms like “hood-rat” and other thinly veiled racial references.
I asked and got no answers on a thread about what we would all say if Zimmerman reported a blonde girl as “suspicious” and she ended up dead.
Would we all feel the same?
I found it interesting that a witness says the kid attacked Zimmerman, who had grass stains on the back of his shirt/jacket and a bloody nose. If that is all true, and the police responding made note of that, it appears they decided zimmerman was attacked. I also read this weekend that the kid may have gone for zimmerman's gun. But as you pointed out, we don't know what happened. I am just sickened that the black panthers can put out a hit on the guy and no one does anything.
Dave, while I understand your concern about “hood rat” references and such you can’t tell me that a black family in your neighborhood or a black man/woman you might work with is the same as some person hanging out on a corner in the ghetto areas of a big city. You wouldn’t be the least afraid of passing someone in a grocery store, or a department store, or walking the sidewalk in your neighborhood - but none of us, no matter how liberal thinking, would feel safe when in a ghetto with a group of men or women walking toward us.
