That’s the real unanswered question here. If ol’ Trayvon, the undoubted pillar of society being what he was, was killed by some thugs in a drive-by, would his name even be in the papers beyond a mere mention of more random violence? I don’t think so.
The fact that a non-black, legally-armed guy did it is what makes this such a supposed outrage.
What these media pricks are saying is that its OK to kill blacks, as long as the assailant is another black, but if its a Hispanic or a white person then everyone is outraged. I live in LA, there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t hear on the news about a drive-by shooting in South Central or some other God awful area. When someone isn’t murdered in Compton or Inglewood its a surprise. Where are the black leaders when a child dies in a drive-by? No where to be found
Not really...'it's the Drama'.. the media is playing up to get ratings for their network stations.
The media race baits everyone in how they frame their stories...and it may mean simply a short sound bite to get peopel tuned in.
This stuff happens daily throughout our country....the gangs do it all the time,...nothing new...just the media needs a good story to feed the masses with AND divert from covrage about Obamas record.
