I read on another thread a while ago that Sheriff Joe is up for re-election this year.

If he loses, what happens to the Cold Case Posse? Is the CCP something Sheriff Joe organized or is it attached to the sheriff's office, no matter who is sheriff? If the CCP is disbanded before this particular case is fully investigated, what happens to the case? Will it just "go away"?

For the record, I'm behind Sheriff Joe and his CCP 100%. I hope he wins re-election and continues the investigation until the truth is known.
