We have a co-op out here, and for the last 6 years or so, you can sign up to get most of your electricity from wind power-the coop gets over 27% of energy from windpower, and it increases every year. I signed up for it the first year, and it does save money per kilowatt hr. in summer. But those wind farms it comes from are in West Texas-I would not sign up if it was in any other state. We don’t have so many NIMBYs in the west Texas desert, like Cali does-windpower works better without them...
